North Otago Basketball – 2026 Key Information

We are excited to be moving into the new Network Waitaki Event Centre for the 2026 season.

Please take note of the following important information for all basketball and miniball players, families, and supporters.

Teams

Each team is required to provide two people to bench their own game. At least one bench official must be an adult.

Court Surface

We are very fortunate to have access to six wooden courts. To help keep them in excellent condition, we ask everyone to follow the court guidelines carefully.

Court Rules

1. No glassware is permitted on the courts.
2. No gumboots, high heels, dirty footwear, or damaging shoes on the courts. Soft-soled shoes only.
3. No wheeled items, including bags and prams, are permitted on the playing surface.
4. No food or drinks are allowed on the courts or at score benches. Water bottles and lollies are permitted on team benches only.
5. No food or drinks, except water, are permitted anywhere on the wooden court surfaces.

Please ensure all rubbish is removed and bench areas are cleaned before leaving.

Spectator Guidelines

For both miniball and basketball, spectators are not permitted downstairs during games. This area is reserved for players and team management only.
