de Geest Mixed Summer League 25/26

The deGeest Summer League is a mixed social basketball competition open to players aged 13 years and over. The league is designed to provide a relaxed and enjoyable way to play basketball over the summer months while still following a structured game format.

Teams consist of five players on court, with a minimum of two female players on the court at all times. Teams may have any number of substitutes. Games are played in four ten-minute quarters and follow standard basketball rules within a social competition setting.

The focus of the deGeest Summer League is on participation, enjoyment and keeping players connected to basketball during the off-season.

Registration information, competition dates and updates are shared through the Waitaki Community Recreation Centre Facebook page. The league runs over the summer months, with new rounds starting in January.
