South Island Masters Games Basketball Returns to Timaru

Basketball players aged 25 and over are invited to take part in the 25th Anniversary South Island Masters Games, being held in Timaru from 2-11 October 2026.

The basketball competition will take place on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October at Aorangi Stadium, with men's and women's grades available for ages 25-39 and 40+.

Whether you're still playing regularly, dusting off the sneakers for a reunion with former teammates, or looking for a fun competitive weekend away, the South Island Masters Games offer a fantastic opportunity to get back on the court.

Teams require between 7 and 12 players, and early bird registrations are available until 30 June, offering discounted entry fees.
