Basketball NZ Launches New Code of Conduct

Basketball New Zealand has introduced a new Code of Conduct aimed at strengthening the culture of basketball across Aotearoa. The updated Code sets clear expectations for behaviour and reinforces a shared commitment to safe, fair and welcoming environments for everyone involved in the game.

Built around the core values of Mana (Respect), Tika (Integrity) and Hono (Connected), the Code applies to players, coaches, referees, volunteers, officials and supporters. It outlines the standards expected both on and off the court and encourages positive behaviour that supports the long-term wellbeing of the sport.

The new Code of Conduct reflects Basketball New Zealand’s ongoing focus on creating a respectful, inclusive and enjoyable basketball experience nationwide.
